(Deleted) Review after total removal and splint removal

Initial surgery 2 years ago: hump reduction, lateral osteotomy, nasal tip septal extension using ear cartilage Reasons for removal: difficulty breathing, foreign-body sensation (hard, tight nasal tip), dissatisfaction with the shape (unnatural appearance, upturned nose, narrowed width) Removal details: total removal, nothing left behind ×, cartilage suturing × Surgery was Wednesday afternoon last week, packing was removed Friday morning, and the splint was removed at one week. Surgical results: the upturned nose came down, elongated nostrils returned to normal (symmetrical). I was told that as swelling subsides, it will become a little smaller and closer to its original shape. Breathing is comfortable, and the tight, pulling sensation is gone. The columella has returned to its original shape, and the nasal width has returned to normal. It has only been a few hours since splint removal, so please keep in mind that there are still pressure marks and swelling. Surgical process: Because I have a fear of ketamine and severe aftereffects, I raised this with the hospital several times. They accommodated me as much as possible, so ketamine was not used and I was anesthetized with midazolam only (there were absolutely no hallucinations). I was awake for most of the surgery, but had no sensation, so it was easy to undergo. The surgery took about an hour. After returning to the recovery room, I listened to the surgeon's explanation and saw photos of what was removed from my nose. I was not dizzy or unwell, so I went home immediately. Postoperative course: throbbing around the time the anesthesia wore off on the day of surgery (tolerable), and the throbbing disappeared after about a day. On Saturday (day 3), swelling was at its peak. The mucous membrane inside my nose swelled and secretions (crusts) accumulated, so I could not breathe again. The outside also swelled, making the splint feel tight and uncomfortable. From Sunday, it gradually subsided; by the one-week mark, breathing was comfortable again and the constricting feeling from the splint had disappeared. My biggest dissatisfactions were the upturned nose, narrowed nose, and difficulty breathing, and all of them have been resolved, so I am very satisfied for now. My impression has returned to how it was originally, and there is no discomfort. I hope the contraction phase passes well, the shape does not change, and only the swelling goes down. I hope everyone who is anxious and desperate can have successful nose surgery and live comfortably.
