I went to seven places just for nose consultations. What I wanted was cartilage particles plus a closed approach, so naturally I visited every place that said this was possible. Rather than discussing their diagnoses, I will only talk about the clinic atmosphere.
I arrived at my appointment time, and the consultation started right then. I was also able to see the doctor promptly without a long wait. At some clinics, the doctor comes out while operating; the doctor there spoke of it proudly, but from a patient's perspective, it cannot help but feel unsettling.... I liked that this place was not like that.
The clinic itself had a calm atmosphere. The consultant did not make arbitrary claims about surgery and listened well to my concerns. There are consultants who talk as if they themselves were doctors sometimes, and that makes me uncomfortable.
The consultation with the doctor was good too. Of course, I had a CT scan and consulted while looking at it, and I liked that the doctor explained in detail the pros and cons of surgery using finely diced cartilage particles. The cost is not extremely inexpensive compared with other clinics, so I will need to deliberate a little more, but people who want to understand their own nose in detail may find it worthwhile to go for a consultation.
