For Facial Contouring, Go Somewhere Excellent and Do It Right Just Once!

A review of succeeding on my first attempt at facial contouring surgery, which I could never do again. 🥹🙏🏻🙏🏻 (Two months after three-part facial contouring.) Before surgery, I was often told that my facial features were pretty, but my prominent side cheekbones and uneven facial line truly stressed me out. T_T Whenever I took photos, my face shape kept me from looking good in them, and I had made a habit of covering my face with my hair to hide my cheekbones. My right side cheekbone protruded more, making the asymmetry severe, and I hated most how angular my face looked and how much empty-looking space there was. I did not have major complaints about my features themselves; I just wanted a slimmer, smoother face shape, so I looked into facial contouring surgery. Since contouring surgery involves bone, I was too scared to choose based only on price or reputation. I absolutely did not want revision surgery, and the most important thing was getting it done properly in one go. So I carefully checked for medical lawsuits, whether it was a factory-style clinic, and whether postoperative care was properly provided. I looked for a clinic where I could finish safely in one operation, rather than focusing on price, and places with excessively large discounts made me even more uneasy. I kept looking through plastic-surgery reviews, and even in recommendation posts for other clinics, I frequently saw the name of [Clinic A] in the comments. At first, I visited consultations mainly at clinics with promotions, but the name kept coming up, so I eventually went for a final consultation. I canceled the clinic where I had already placed a 100,000-won reservation deposit and chose this one. 😂 During the consultation, I liked that the coordinator did not push unnecessary procedures and first looked at the parts that truly bothered me. Rather than recommending this and that, they seriously explained what the issues in my face were and how they could be improved, which greatly increased my trust. Since my biggest concern was my face shape rather than my features, I wanted a place that would properly perform the surgery I needed, and I liked that aspect. (And now that two months have passed since surgery, I am once again realizing how responsive our coordinator really was >< T_T) In the end, I had three-part facial contouring surgery, and I am truly satisfied now. There was more postoperative care than I expected. I was able to return to work after about five days, and after about two days moving around was not especially difficult. (But the swelling, lol, was enough to make me feel sorry for other people having to see it. T_T) At first, lying down to sleep was uncomfortable, so I slept sitting up. It may be helpful to prepare cushions in advance. Rice porridge tasted awful, so I ate lots of yogurt and soy milk, and you must not use straws. I rinsed with water every hour and used a disinfecting mouth rinse after eating. It is convenient to group meals → medication → disinfecting rinse around the medication schedule. Because of the cheekbone incision sites, I also had to be careful when washing my face, so cleansing wipes are useful to prepare in advance. I do not know whether swelling tea was effective, but drinking plenty of water and taking light walks when you feel well were best. And the pain... The cheekbones were more manageable than expected, but my chin tip hurt. T_T I thought I could never do this again, but when I look at my current face shape, I still think I would definitely have done it once. At first I wondered whether cheekbone reduction and square-jaw surgery alone would be enough, but addressing the chin tip too made the facial line connect much more smoothly, so I am truly glad I had all three procedures. My cheekbones were reduced, but my face did not become flat; the dimensionality remains, while it feels much slimmer! Before surgery, I covered my cheekbones with my hair, but now even when I tuck my hair back, they do not look prominent, which I love. lol My friends also ask why I have become so pretty! The swelling has not even fully gone down yet, but I am so satisfied and looking forward to my final facial line. T_T Having personally gone through the surgery and recovery, I think facial contouring really needs to be done right the one time you do it. Recovery takes time, and managing mouth rinses, meals, and medication is more troublesome than expected; above all, it hurts, lol. So it truly felt like surgery I could never have again. But do I regret having it? Not at all. I do not want to tell people considering facial contouring to have it multiple times; I want to say, please do it properly just once. Especially if, like me, you absolutely do not want revision surgery, I hope you compare thoroughly and decide rather than looking only at price. A place with deeply discounted promotional pricing is not necessarily a bad clinic, but I personally did not prefer places that cut prices too drastically because it made me uneasy. I think it is best to choose carefully from the beginning with the mindset of having contouring done just once. The surgeon at this clinic is truly skillful.. The symmetry is spot on. I am so satisfied that I will say: please, do it properly just once!
