I had double-eyelid surgery using the buried-suture method about six years ago, but one side loosened over time, so I considered revision surgery and looked into clinics. I do not prefer a dramatic crease, so I narrowed it down to clinics offering a natural line and made consultation appointments after reading reviews in this community and other cafés. The fact that there was one surgeon and that aftercare coverage lasted three years was a major benefit, so I booked with that in mind. I really liked that the surgeon used something like a program to examine and explain the height and width of both eyes in detail. They also directly examined my eyes and checked them, explaining how the strength of eyelid opening differed and how much more to create the crease on which side while paying attention to symmetry, which I also liked. I underwent incisional eyelid revision, upper epicanthoplasty, orbital fat repositioning, and fat removal. Perhaps because the surgery was done well, the bruising and swelling were as minimal as with the buried-suture method, despite having an incisional procedure (although that may also depend on one’s constitution). After having my stitches removed a week later, I could go around bare-faced. Perhaps because the clinic’s system is well organized, I always waited a maximum of 10 minutes at my appointment time, which was nice compared with other places.
