I had my first rhinoplasty without an implant with Dr. Baek Seung-ryeol at The Pride!!!! I corrected my bulbous and long nose, retained some of the hump rather than removing it completely, and also had osteotomy. From the start, rather than wanting a completely smooth, straight nasal bridge, I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line with a small hump left. Looking at my profile now, it seems to have settled into exactly the look I wanted. Once the blunt, downward-long-looking nasal tip was refined, my nose itself looked much lighter. The bulbous-nose correction also made the tip slimmer, but it is not excessively sharp, so it does not look overwhelming from the front. From the side, the long-nose appearance has decreased and the tip is slightly lifted, so the line shows best. Since the hump was not completely shaved down, it feels more like my original nose simply became prettier in shape rather than looking artificially straight!! With the osteotomy, the bridge that had looked wide from the front is also slimmer than before, haha. Personally, the improvement in the width of my bridge and tip from the front feels more noticeable than a dramatic change in height. I wondered how much change there could be without an implant, but the nose shape changed much more than I expected. For me, wanting to retain the hump while correcting only the bulbous and long-nose appearance, I really like the line now.
