I started orthodontic treatment as soon as I turned 20, and proceeded without extractions. My upper teeth were fairly well aligned, so treatment focused on the lower teeth for about a year and a half, and I think the result is good. Everything else is fine, but it is a little disappointing that the additional cost is high if the retainer comes off.
