I had a bulbous nose, and since I am also very fearful, I was scared of having an implant placed, so I had non-implant surgery. I wanted a natural result.
The doctor was kind. They also answered my questions well.
But since it was non-implant surgery, the before-and-after change was not extremely dramatic. Comparing photos, it felt like I went from an extremely bulbous nose to a less bulbous nose?
The columella was supported with septal cartilage and the tip with ear cartilage, but now my columella is slightly crooked.
(I think it has been more than three years since surgery...? My memory is hazy.)
When I asked at the clinic, they said the septal cartilage could not bear the weight and collapsed.
My columella is not severely crooked, so I am living with it for now, but later I plan to get revision surgery at a clinic specializing only in noses.
