I got functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty at ㅋㅂㅈ around mid-January. I’m not going to upload photos separately, so for everyone with functional issues, if you’re curious about breathing or how the nose feels about a month after functional rhinoplasty, read this!
First of all, I’ve had chronic rhinitis since I was young, so I always lived with a runny and stuffy nose. When I lay down, my nose got blocked even more easily, so I used to sleep with two pillows stacked up. Because of that, I had really bad forward head posture, and even though I’m only 20, my neck wrinkles got really severe ^^... There’s nothing I can do about the neck wrinkles that have already formed, but now even when I’m lying down, I don’t have nasal congestion, and my snoring and mouth breathing while sleeping have improved a huge amount. From a little over 2 weeks after surgery, the swelling inside went down a lot, so breathing became good too. When I breathed through my nose outside, the inside of my nose felt cold.. lol So what I had been doing before surgery wasn’t really proper breathing. My runny nose hasn’t completely disappeared, but it has definitely decreased compared to before, and needless to say, breathing has gotten better, so I’m extremely satisfied! My nose also turned out more to my liking than I expected, so I just keep thinking I did well getting it done by the director haha. Around 2 weeks in, I was worried because there was still a lot of bruising, but when I applied bruise cream from the pharmacy, it disappeared a lot. Now there’s no bruising at all, and I think almost all the swelling has gone down, but when I went to the clinic yesterday, the director said there’s still a lot of small swelling left, so I’ll keep watching it a bit more.
