10 days after my revision rhinoplasty, something like mucus on one side wouldn’t come out, so I went to a nearby ENT clinic.
They said pus had accumulated after surgery, and the problem is that inferior turbinate stenosis developed......... They said it’s not urgent, but breathing will gradually become harder, so I’ll have to have it cauterized eventually. They said the pus buildup is dangerous and prescribed additional antibiotics.
I said it right after surgery, when the nasal packing was removed, when I visited because of asymmetry, and when the splint was taken off. Even though I said four times that my left nostril felt uncomfortable, they didn’t even look inside my nose..
One nostril is narrow and long, and the other is wide and round, so even if I lift my head just slightly, they look uneven, and it’s so distressing. Everyone who sees it says the difference is huge and it doesn’t look good. There is almost no swelling or bruising, so I have no hope that it will improve.
My nose didn’t have asymmetry or rhinitis before, and what I wanted wasn’t to make it higher. I only wanted the nostril sill lowered so it would show a little less from the front. How did it end up like this? I really want to die.
The hospital says they’ll take care of it later, but what are they going to do about the changed nostrils? I’ve already lost trust, so I don’t want to go back, and I want all my money and time back.
