Reconstruction of the columellar base tissue

With philtrum reduction surgery, the area under the nose is often called the columellar base tissue. For me, it wasn’t from surgery; I was born with nostrils that naturally looked V-shaped downward. That stressed me out so much, so I had surgery at the only clinic that talked about that issue. In the end, it did connect, but my nostrils became twice as large. The scar came as a bonus too. If not having columellar base tissue is not truly, truly stressful for you, absolutely do not do it. I’m now looking into alar reduction.
