I’m 5 months post-op after removing 10-year-old nasal silicone and ear cartilage. I didn’t really have any side effects, but I had them removed because my nose seemed too high and too pointy. I’m still upset because I don’t know if it’s swelling or scar tissue, but it’s puffier than my original noseㅠㅠ The nasal tip also looks like it has dropped, so I sometimes regret not leaving the ear cartilage in the tip. The hospital said there was no point in leaving anything and that everything had to be removed, but I wonder if I should have gone to a place that said leaving some in would be okay. Anyway, with my current nose condition, it looks bigger than my original nose and I’m dissatisfiedㅠㅠ Though if I had left it in and side effects developed, I’d probably regret that even more..
Fortunately, after removal there was nothing like contracture, but there is scar tissue inside my nose. It still hurts a bit when I touch it, and I still can’t do a pig nose~~ If there are side effects when removing, then removing everything is the right choice, but I think you also need to consider whether it’s something you won’t regret!
