3-week review of nasal tip surgery with autologous cartilage

Before before before / after after after I hadn’t been thinking about nose surgery, but a friend who’s very interested in rhinoplasty was looking into nose surgery and recommended this to me, so I thought, “This is surgery made for me, isn’t it!?” and went ahead with it. This is my 3-week review of the nasal tip procedure.

These were the standards I usually had in mind. 1. Recovery period - Since I’m an office worker, taking a long vacation makes me feel self-conscious, so whether I could return to work as quickly as possible was the biggest reason I chose this procedure. Before this, I had only had Hiko procedures 3 times. I had my same-day surgery consultation & surgery booked for Saturday at 1 p.m., was discharged around 3:30, had the taping on my nose and ear removed on Tuesday, day 3, and went to work on Wednesday. The stitches behind my ear were removed a week later. I don’t know if they removed the stitches in a way that didn’t hurt, or if I tolerate pain well, but it didn’t hurtㅎ

2. Naturalness - Considering the harmony of my face, unless I changed everything, I thought that if only my nose were built up too much like a pillar, it would look very unnatural. Since I do have some nasal bridge, I had thought it would be nice to raise only the nasal tip area, like when I had Hiko. They said I had a slight hump, but not enough to shave down, so I only proceeded with this nasal tip procedure. Since the surgery used ear cartilage, the bruising on my ear lasted about 2 weeks. I didn’t apply any bruise cream separately. The nose is operated on through an incision on the inside, so when you just look at it, it doesn’t show at all, and it’s so~ natural that even my mom couldn’t tell. It feels like a refined look + a higher, sharper tip that only I know about!! I’m very satisfied now, but since additional surgery is possible with this procedure, if I feel any regret later, I’ll have an additional surgery.

3. Safety - No matter how well a surgery turns out, if there are side effects, it’s all for nothing. This procedure is done with autologous cartilage + autologous blood, so they say the side effects are fewer than with general surgery. It’s week 2 after surgery, and so far there have been no issues. I saw in reviews that it didn’t hurt, and although it may differ from person to person, I was surprised because I had so little pain that I wondered if this was okay. If I touched my ear without thinking, it was just like, “Ah, right, I had cartilage taken out,” haha.

The hospital staff were also so kind every time I visited, which was nice. The people who assisted while preparing for surgery also made the atmosphere very comfortable!!

That was my 3-week review of the nasal tip procedure!
