Hehehe before <This is before surgery> I tried facial contouring and various other things, but the nose is really an area where you have to think about function too. If you are looking into a first rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty, I recommend choosing a place that definitely takes CT scans, and not just somewhere that only looks at the shape from the outside, but somewhere that considers the functional aspects too, diagnoses them, and if needed can also perform surgery for them, and narrowing it down mainly to those kinds of places before getting surgery~
Mine was a revision rhinoplasty, and I had originally only thought about the cosmetic side, but the functional issues made things so difficult for me, so I had surgery because I wanted to refine the shape a little again too! And most importantly, the functional part! I wanted to treat the breathing part~ Of course, I really suffered because of rhinitis before, but now my nose has been treated both shape-wise and functionally, so I’m living really well~
For men, I definitely recommend getting surgery at a hospital with many male reviews and a lot of experience performing surgery on men~
Oh, but function is a bit different from shape~ Recovery also takes quite a long time, or maybe it was because mine was a revision surgery, but because of swelling inside the nose, it took quite a while before breathing felt clear~
And they said it’s good to keep doing nasal irrigation consistently as aftercare, whether it feels blocked or not, so according to the hospital’s instructions, I still do it sometimes on days when I have time~
For reference, it has been 1 year and 4 months. For my revision rhinoplasty, I had nasal tip, nasal bridge, osteotomy, short nose surgery, and alar reduction, and additionally rhinitis treatment plus slight lowering of the columella. The materials used were ear cartilage, autologous costal cartilage, and artificial dermis... Now that I’m writing it out, it’s a lot haha..
