7 Days After Surgery for Alar Reduction Scars

Hehe <before stitch removal> Hehe Hi everyone? I wanted to get rid of the scars from an alar reduction I had 17 years ago, so I had scar revision surgery on February 28. (A surgery where the scarred area is removed and sutured again) I have extremely oily skin, so to suppress sebum production, I took one Isotretinoin capsule every day starting 2 weeks before surgery, and I’m still taking it after surgery. (My skin is so oily that I have to wash my hair twice a day, but since taking Isotretinoin, it doesn’t get greasy even if I wash it once every 3 days.) Since the surgery, I disinfected the area 3 times a day with hydrogen peroxide, povidone, and rubbing alcohol, and after disinfecting, I also applied eye ointment while taking care of it! Today was the day I had my stitches removed. The clinic instructed me to wash my face thoroughly so sebum doesn’t build up around my nose, make sure to apply sunscreen carefully to prevent discoloration of the wound, and avoid smiling in a way that spreads the nostril wings or pulling the philtrum downward! I’m going on March 29 for a scar-tissue injection and scar laser treatment, and I’ll write another review then^^*
