1.ㅁㅅㅇ This was the first place I went for consultation because I heard it was famous for noses. Honestly, I heard Director Cho was brutally honest, so that made me want to go even more.... It was the only place among the ones I visited that did not take a CT scan, but maybe because of that, he carefully palpated my nose here and there. He was chic, so at first I felt intimidated.. The consultation continued until I had no more questions, and other hospitals scared me a lot, saying it was contracture and a very difficult surgery, but this was the only place that did not scare me and talked about it as if it was not a big deal?
I thought I might have a bit of nasolabial folds, so when I said I wanted to do paranasal augmentation together, he brutally told me to lose weight first Seriously, both the director and the consultant strongly talked me out of paranasal augmentation
Also, at other places, when I had a consultation with the director, I went in alone, but here, the consultant also came in during the director's consultation and listened to the consultation together, and at the end, when I had one more consultation with the consultant, she explained the contents of the director's consultation in detail one more time. It somehow felt like talking with an older sister, so I liked it
2.ㅇㄴㅅㅌ There were many reviews about contracture and short nose on the ㅂㅂㅌ app, so I really wanted to visit once, but as soon as I entered the hospital entrance, what I felt from the pamphlets and such was that it felt like a dermatology clinic.. The important thing is, there was no one waiting except me, but they made me wait an hour, so all I could think was, should I just go home, this is annoying. I arrived for my 11:30 appointment, but finally met the director at 12:30 They did not even tell me why the director was late and just kept leaving me in the consultant's room, then in the director's consultation room..
Anyway, they said my nose was a very difficult nose and that I would need about 8 contracture injections, but among the 5 clinics, this was the only place that mentioned contracture injections, and since it was not that extreme a contracture, I did not really want to do them. The director's consultation was just so-so, and because I had waited too long, I was not thinking about anything. The consultation manager also felt like she had not been working there long.
3.ㅊㅁ This place is famous for extreme noses, so I really wanted to go. I wanted a silicone + autologous costal cartilage combination, but here they strongly recommended AlloDerm no matter what, and said my nose had to be done only with AlloDerm. But I basically have no nasal bridge at all, to the point that it is flat, so I could not do AlloDerm because of absorption They said if it gets absorbed, they can put it back into the nose, but I am raising two babies, so having surgery and recovering again was not easy.
Honestly, among the 5 clinics, they explained my nose with the most effort and worried a lot for me, so if they had said they would do it with silicone instead of AlloDerm, I definitely would have done it here.
4.ㅅㅇ I went here too because it is famous for revision rhinoplasty. Here, should I say it felt like the director had studied my nose deeply? First of all, my nose is too difficult, and on CT, something is overlaid around the nasal septum, but exactly what it is will likely be known only after opening the nose. In the worst case, it would go to reconstruction rather than rhinoplasty, and later I might have to do rhinoplasty, they said. If reconstruction is done, I might not be able to do rhinoplasty, so they recommended donated costal cartilage. Because if I go through the trouble of harvesting autologous costal cartilage but cannot have surgery because of reconstruction, my autologous costal cartilage would be useless..
They also said the nasal bridge should be done without an implant, but my nasal bridge is like a Shih Tzu nose with no bridge, so pass..
5.ㅋㅂㅈ I booked here too because it is famous for revision surgery, and it is the only place where I came out after paying a reservation deposit.
They recommended all autologous costal cartilage for both my nasal bridge and nasal tip, but later when I searched reviews of all-autologous costal cartilage, they said that when autologous costal cartilage is used for the nasal bridge, warping happens a lot and you need another revision surgery.. Using all autologous costal cartilage bothered me a bit, so pass! The director was friendly and nice.
The place I ultimately decided on is ㅁㅅㅇ. Here, they only do sleep anesthesia when harvesting my costal cartilage, and during the rhinoplasty I will be conscious, so I am pretty scared, but if I want to become prettier, I have to endure it!!
