I'm from out of town, so it's hard to keep going around for consultations, and I'm trying to choose among 4 places. There are 2 places I like right now,,
1. Implant-free (postauricular dermis, bulbous nose fatty tissue), bulbous nose, hump, osteotomy, columella I like it because it's the implant-free option I want, but all the other places recommended silicone, and only this place said implant-free is possible, so I feel unnecessarily anxious. I'm worried it might all get absorbed later and become lower,, And the side effects of osteotomy are kind of scary
2. Silicone, bulbous nose, donated costal cartilage, columella I liked it because the director gave the consultation really passionately, but after taking a CT, they said there wasn't enough material so donated costal cartilage would need to be used. Since it's my first surgery, they said using autologous costal cartilage might feel burdensome and recommended donated costal cartilage
Both places took CT scans, so why are the materials different.. That's why I'm so torn Looking at reviews for hospital 2, it does seem like they use donated costal cartilage a lot.. And during the consultation, they also said the reason for using donated costal cartilage is to make the nasal support structure sturdy,, This is hard
Thinking about the future, I don't know which material would be better, so in everyone's view, which material seems better..?
