Clinic - ㅇㅍㅅㅌ / ㄱㄹㅎ
First of all, I was thinking that the more places I went around to consult, the more confused I would get, so I had decided on exactly 4 places.
ㅇㅍㅅㅌ / ㄱㄹㅎ / ㅅㅇㅍㅇㅅ21 / ㄴㅈㅎ, like this.
Out of these, I only went to ㅇㅍㅅㅌ and ㄱㄹㅎ. In the end, I think I’ll probably do it at ㅇㅍㅅㅌ, and I just paid the deposit too. I had the consultation today. Seriously
I felt like I would definitely get it done at either ㄱㄹㅎ or ㅇㅍㅅㅌ..ㅋㅋㅋ
First, at ㄱㄹㅎ, I went just to consult about facial contouring, but they told me about my whole face.
They said my nose is the type that is prone to contracture, and if contracture happens, it would really be hard to fix, so it would be better not to do it.
For orthodontic correction, it would be hard to see much effect, so I’d need double-jaw surgery.. haha..
They said my eyes are pretty, so they’re fine, things like that. When I asked, they answered everything.
For facial contouring too, they touched my face here and there and said it would change like this and like that. They also pressed my face to show me roughly how it would look.
They told me that because my bones have very severe unevenness, I would see an effect if I do it. But natural. Absolutely natural. It felt like natural and conservative = safe!
And they only do surgery for 1 person a day.
So I got the feeling that this is a place that operates naturally and conservatively. When I asked, “If I go for a more dramatic look, what would be different here?”
They said there isn’t anything they can do except make the chin tip a bit sharper.
And here, I didn’t hear exactly where my nerve line is, how many mm of margin I have,
or what the exact surgical method would be. They just explained what would be good for the jaw and what would be good for the cheekbones, and the explanation about my face was really good..ㅋㅋㅋ
It might be because I didn’t ask, but I didn’t hear details like how they would cut and fix the bones. I only heard where they would make incisions..?
And as far as I remember, the aftercare was laser 3 times...? I think. It seems a bit little.
But the price definitely isn’t on the cheap side.
The consultant also didn’t really push me and was kind. There wasn’t any pressure about making a reservation..? Nothing like that. Yeah..

Now I’ll talk about ㅇㅍㅅㅌ. First, compared with ㄱㄹㅎ, there were more people when I went.
And.. first of all, from what I saw and heard, I felt the CT equipment and post-op laser equipment were better than ㄱㄹㅎ. As for the CT, I know because I saw my bone images, and it’s better.
I went without thinking much because I thought ㄱㄹㅎ suited me so well.. but when I went to ㅇㅍㅅㅌ, they emphasized safety a lot, you know?
Things like CCTV and an anesthesiology department are kind of expected, but they promoted them really confidently. They said that if a problem happens during surgery, Seoul National University Hospital is 6 minutes away
and they have a collaboration, so I can be admitted as first priority, and if any functional problem occurs after surgery, the clinic will take responsibility with no time limit.
And also, aftercare includes 3 types of laser treatment unlimited for 30 days... The inpatient room is a private room, and the aftercare room is also a private room.
They said they do surgery 1 to 2 times a day. Well, this is expected, though.
The doctor’s consultation basically tells you everything related to “face shape.” Since I went for a facial contouring consultation, of course, but ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
But they showed me everything on a PPT, like what kind of osteotomy they would use, how they would do the cheekbones, and how they would do the chin tip. And they said I have 7-8 mm of room from my nerve line,
and that with this much, I’d see a big effect.. The cheekbones also protrude too much compared with my head shape.. They touched and pressed my face while explaining.
This is where it differed from ㄱㄹㅎ..
If ㄱㄹㅎ had the nuance of “we’ll find the most natural line possible from your current face shape,”
ㅇㅍㅅㅌ had the nuance of “we’ll use almost all of that nerve-line margin.” So I did think the before-and-after difference would be good.
But I’m a little worried about side effects like sagging. Still, I didn’t worry about things like dying during surgery or my nerve line being cut.
Anyway, they explained those things very step by step and calmly. At the end, while looking into my eyes,
“If you choose our clinic, I’ll make sure to do it safely and beautifully, so don’t worry.” Something about the way he said that felt good.
Then I met the consultant, and first of all, the price was beyond imagination. Really expensive. I can’t say the amount, though.
And I brought it up first. Things like discounts. Then they recommended a same-day reservation. It wasn’t pressure, because I brought it up first.
The consultant’s stance was, “If it feels burdensome, you don’t have to do it.”
Even when I said I’d pay the deposit, she said, “Oh, you really don’t have to feel pressured. If you’re reserving because you feel pressured, you shouldn’t!”
She just talked about the financial part and said, “I’ll try my best within my authority and can do it for you at about this amount!” And she even added some services.
But I had viewed same-day reservations pretty negatively, you know?
But the consultant, more than I expected, was really straightforward with me and even openly brought up some of the things I was worried about first.
The consultation was also pretty good, though not as much as ㄱㄹㅎ. They were almost equal... but the aftercare here was overwhelmingly better.
So I felt like, if I just had the money, I’d want to do it here, and it’s about equal with ㄱㄹㅎ.. but the aftercare is better.. this is the place!
On top of that, I just got home and looked around at other quotes, and it turns out the consultant wasn’t lying when she said she worked hard on the quote for me.
So I just chose ㅇㅍㅅㅌ because I want to see a bit more effect and the aftercare is better. I also liked the reason why the ㅇㅍㅅㅌ clinic was opened.
So... uh.. after I do my forehead surgery that I booked in April, I’m planning to do it at ㅇㅍㅅㅌ sometime between July and October.
