I’ve been thinking about breast surgery for over 10 years, and I’m deciding between implants and breast fat grafting, so I looked into places that only do implants, places that only do fat grafting, and places that do both. I’ve visited a total of 5 clinics in person, and I’m planning to visit 4-5 more.. I’d appreciate it if you could also look over this list ㅠ (fat grafting - ㅇㅆㅆ301, ㅂㅇㅅ티, 프ㄹㅅ / implants - 휴ㅁ, ㅇㅇ트)
[Implants] -ㄴ트 (Director Kwon) Clean and felt like a large hospital. The wait was almost 1 hour, so I was worried, what if it’s like this when I come in for aftercare too? But the director’s consultation was extremely thorough. He measured my size accurately, explained my breast shape and body type features that other clinics hadn’t mentioned, and designed accordingly. At other clinics there were lots of things I forgot to ask because I was nervous, but here he even explained details I hadn’t thought of, so that was good. The pre-op and post-op care system also seemed solid. No pressure to get implants. It felt like he was trying to match the size I wanted? But there was a bit of pressure to reserve a date (of course, full refund possible if canceled, up to 2 weeks before surgery) + it somehow felt too by-the-book, so I didn’t feel emotionally drawn to them..? And when I looked for reviews, somehow it felt like advertis.. and like there wasn’t real data.. Among the clinics I consulted at, the director was the best, but ironically it’s the place I feel least drawn to, so I’m conflicted ㅜ
-바ㅌ (Director Han) I went with some expectations, but during the consultation, I strongly felt like the director was speaking too roughly/casually..? The explanation wasn’t very detailed and it felt like he only answered what I asked..? It might have just been me.. This is also a clinic with good reviews, anyway because of that I honestly don’t remember much.. the consultation ended quickly, and they quoted the highest price, so I quietly ruled it out on my own…
[Fat grafting] -스ㄴㅇ (Director Seo) Both the consultant and director were cheerful, kind, and made me feel comfortable. They also did an ultrasound exam and checked things well. This was after I had visited ㄱㄹ비 below, and they said they could inject a lot of cc while the price was reasonable, so if anything it made me feel uneasy. Saying I could go up by about one cup to one and a half cups with fat grafting also felt a bit suspicious.. I’ve heard a lot that if you put in too much, calcification or oil cysts can occur, but when I asked about side effects, they said no one has come to our clinic because of side effects.. Hmm.. I’m not sure.
[Implants, Fat grafting] -ㄱㄹ비 (Director Nam) This was the first place I went. Like ㄴ트, the director explained things well at first and it was nice that I could see a virtual simulation. They measured me and accurately explained my breast characteristics too. The director had long experience and the manager was kind, so compared with ㄴ트 it felt more warm? The aftercare system was also well set up, and I trusted them. But actually I went here to ask about fat grafting, and the conversation ended up leaning more toward implants than fat grafting, so I feel disappointed that I didn’t get to ask enough about either option while I was in an in-between state. With fat grafting, about half a cup to one cup. I think they also looked at implants because fat grafting might not get me to the point I want. After this I got a bit of a feel for what to ask, so I think I asked better questions elsewhere, but I’m thinking about asking additional things here. It seems like they do a lot of fat grafting here these days, so I’m a bit unsure about implants.
-더ㄹㅇ (Director Jung) I also went here thinking about fat grafting, but they recommended implants more than fat grafting. To me it looks like I have a lot of fat to remove, (other places also didn’t say I had none) but they said I don’t have that much fat and I might need up to rounds 1, 2, and 3 to get the size I want, and then it would cost more than implants, so they recommended implants. There wasn’t really body type analysis or anything like that. Instead, there was no pressure, and the director had a somewhat cynical style that somehow made me comfortable. Based on Motiva Ergonomix, the price was better than other places, but they said there’s no separate aftercare.
For now, in the current situation I’m deciding between ㄴ트 and ㄱㄹ비, but it’d be better to keep looking around until next week and then decide, right..? Honestly, apart from the clinic itself, I’m still not even sure whether to do fat grafting or implants.. For someone like me who can’t make decisions and is suspicious of everything, breast surgery is such a huge thing..ㅠㅠ If anyone has had breast surgery at either of these two, please give me advice ㅠ If you can recommend any other clinics that match my personality, I’d be overwhelmingly grateful too… ㅠㅠ
