I had wanted to get nose and breast surgery for over 10 years, and I finally had some time, so I went for consultations at about 4-5 clinics and scheduled the surgeries according to my availability. I chose the clinic based on the following 4 things:
1. Whether they pursued a natural-looking nose shape 2. Whether there was a director who specialized only in breast surgery 3. Whether the schedule and price range worked for me 4. Whether there were any bad reviews
The clinic recommended by my friend who is a plastic surgery expert(?) was somewhere else, but that clinic did not meet points 1 and 2, so in the end I searched on the Babitalk app and decided from there.
So I ended up having the surgery. What really shocked me after surgery was that a problem I had never expected occurred. I had nose and breast surgery, but I could barely see out of my right eye, tears kept streaming down, and it hurt so, so much. I’m usually pretty good at tolerating pain. It didn’t hurt at all when I had orthodontic treatment, and even with wisdom tooth extraction or injuries, I don’t really show it. But my eye hurt so badly that I couldn’t even open it properly, and I was so scared because I thought I might go blind. My nose and breasts did not hurt at all. The doctor came and explained that it would get better, but at the time I was in so much pain that I couldn’t really hear what they were saying. Later, I searched on Google and saw that blurry vision can occur because of eye-protecting ointment. I applied the prescribed ointment and used the eye drops, and from the third day after surgery my eye started to get better. The days before that were hell because I was worried about my eye and it hurt so much..
Still, the nursing team in charge of me and the doctor were kind, so it was bearable. The nursing team was so, so kind; they even went with me to the pharmacy and ophthalmology clinic, told me they had been worried, and took such good care of me that I thought I also want to become someone who can give that kind of warmth to others. I’m still so grateful!
Now, on day 4 after surgery, my eye is still a little dry, but I think it’s okay. I’ll only know the final shape of my nose and breasts after the swelling goes down, but so far I’m satisfied! I had a bulbous nose, and I wanted surgery while maintaining my existing image to some extent, so I had been looking for a director who pursued a natural shape. I’m satisfied because I think I found the right director! There is an issue where my philtrum reflexively looks long, but I firmly believe this will improve once the swelling goes down ㅠㅠ
I’ve always been chased by studying and work and haven’t really had many chances to rest properly with peace of mind, so I think it’s nice that I can use resting as an excuse to do nothing for a few days haha. It feels like I’ve become a patient, and I like it.
Aside from the right-eye incident, overall I’ve been satisfied with everything about the surgery so far! This kind of thing doesn’t seem common, but I’m writing this so that if it happens to someone else besides me, they won’t be too worried. I’ll keep writing reviews going forward :)
