Hello! It has been about 6 months since I had two-jaw surgery and contouring type 2 (square jaw, chin) at Wagu Oral Surgery with IVRO. It still feels amazing that it has already been 6 months since the surgery. Even at the 3-month mark I thought a lot of the swelling had gone down, but now my face is much more natural and it no longer feels like I had surgery at all. Compared with old photos, my face shape is clearly more refined, so I feel like little by little it keeps changing over time. Before surgery, I really hated taking photos because of my asymmetry and underbite, but now my stress about that has decreased a lot. In the past, if someone took a photo of me, I would often delete it without even looking, but these days even photos taken by other people don’t bother me as much as before, and I think that is the biggest change. Especially my side profile still makes me think every time that I’m glad I had the surgery! Recovery definitely became easier after the 3-month mark, and now there’s almost nothing in daily life that feels inconvenient because of the surgery. I can eat completely comfortably now, and opening my mouth has become much more natural too. In the early stages after surgery, I kept wondering when I would be able to live normally again, but as time went by, things really became so much better. I don’t know yet how much more I’ll change as more time passes, but for now I’m living very satisfied. The 6 months went by much faster than I expected, and I’m looking forward to seeing how my face settles as the swelling keeps going down little by little.
