During my follow-up consultation, what made me decide on this clinic was that I felt the director really looked deeply at my face and planned the surgery while considering both the strengths and weaknesses of my face. He said we should lengthen the nasal tip only enough so that I wouldn’t lose the “youthful look,” which is one of my facial strengths, and that if it became too long, it could make me look older and take away the originally lovely feeling of my face. After that, he told me that to compensate for the weaknesses of my face, making my pinched nose slightly fuller would suit my face shape, and he pointed out exactly the parts I had always worried about so clearly, then presented solutions that fit them one by one, so I felt really reassured.
So in the end, I chose that clinic and had rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage, and now it has already been over 2 months. Because the photo was taken at a 45-degree angle, the nose doesn’t look that high, but in person I think it looks higher, sharper, and pretty! The happiness of constantly looking at my side profile whenever I look in the mirror.... hehe
Now that my nose is prettier and my facial features look larger, I feel like the overall balance of my face is much better. I’ve started exercising again now, and the swelling is steadily coming down, so I look forward to each day wondering how much prettier it will get.
My family and friends around me also say that compared with before, I’ve become much prettier, my impression has become softer and better, and that it now suits my face shape and the balance is pretty, telling me a hundred times that I did so well, so I feel it was worth having the courage to do it.
To be honest, since I’m not going to become a celebrity, there were many times I wondered if I should just live with it, but I think everyone considering revision surgery probably feels similar to me. Should I just live with it.. But for years I kept feeling uneasy and had lingering regret, and now that I’ve done it, I really have no regrets. It feels like one of the things in life I’m glad I did!
My face has a round, soft feeling, so I wanted a natural-looking nose. From the front, I wanted a nose that suited my round face shape with horizontal width, round yet balanced overall, while from the side it would look high and sharp, which I thought would suit my face shape and image. The director’s aesthetic perspective was also similar to mine, and the consultation was very detailed, so when the director and I only talked verbally, there was a stage where we checked and adjusted in advance with Photoshop, etc., so that the image each of us had in mind would not be different. That made me feel less anxious and more confident.
