No matter how much I dieted, the fat on my upper arms stubbornly would not go away, so my upper body looked bulky, and because of my upper arms I couldn’t wear the tops I wanted. I became interested in procedures like fat-dissolving injections for the arms or LAMS, but some people said they didn’t see noticeable results from procedures, and price-wise I thought it would be better to just get liposuction once and be done with it. So I searched hard on cosmetic surgery apps and found a place with a low price and decent reviews. At first I looked into it because I liked the price, but then I saw that it was a place that does not use sedation anesthesia. That made me a little scared, but I had never had any cosmetic surgery or procedure before, so I was also anxious about sedation anesthesia. Maybe because the anesthesia fee was excluded, the price was so good that I booked a consultation right away and then scheduled surgery after the consultation. When I went for the consultation, there was some waiting time, but I remember it being about 20-30 minutes. I filled out the chart while waiting. It was a place run by one staff member and one director, and both of them were kind and explained things well, so I didn’t have any unpleasant experience. When I went into the consultation room, I took off all my upper clothing except my bra and stood in front of the mirror (there was a full-length mirror in front and another mirror on the side, so I could see from two directions). The director felt my arms and showed me where the muscle was, how much fat could be removed, and how the line would look if it was done that way. I liked exactly what he showed me, so that was good. The consultation fee was 10,000 won. On the day of surgery, because it was local anesthesia, I didn’t need to fast, so I didn’t have to prepare anything special. I went there, took off all my upper clothing, wore the sleeveless top they gave me, put on a hair cap, and went into the consultation room. While talking with the director, he drew the design on my arms with a pen. I checked whether I liked the design and told him once more which area I most wanted improved. They also took before photos from the front, back, and both sides. During the surgery I was wearing an eye mask, and after the surgery was over, I got up, checked the fat container, and they showed me how many cc had been removed in total. As soon as the surgery ended, they put compression arm sleeves on both arms, attached gauze as well, and then I changed clothes and was discharged. I bought the medication at the pharmacy according to the prescription they gave me and went home. I recovered well, and now I am very, very satisfied. I have no side effects, and I’m so excited thinking about wearing tight long-sleeve tops in winter and sleeveless tops in summer.
