Nose Surgery review at Rienjang (리엔장) · 2023-12-13

When I went, there was no one there, maybe because it was an off-peak time, so I filled out the consultation chart right after arriving at my reserved time. A female staff member at the counter helped me fill it out, but when I asked questions about what was written on the form, she was visibly flustered, like she didn’t know, just going “ah.. um..” And even though she didn’t know, when I asked what keloid-prone skin meant, how could they tell whether my skin was like that, and whether the skin that swells up when scratched is that kind of skin, she would go “ah.. um yes, that’s right” and write it down. She seemed inexperienced in professional information, so my trust dropped even before the consultation. If you don’t know, you should ask, but from a patient’s perspective, they were just roughly filling it out and moving on without even knowing whether I had keloid-prone skin or not.. I worried what would happen if that caused a problem during surgery later. Anyway, after that I went straight from manager > Director Choi Won-il > manager, with no waiting time. The manager was kind, and I brought a question list, which she went through one by one and answered carefully. After the manager showed it separately to the director, the director came in and, likewise, kindly explained each of the things I was curious about. However, unlike consultations at other clinics, he said that for the first surgery he wouldn’t use costal cartilage and that the septal cartilage alone would be sufficient, which surprised me. When I asked the manager at the end, she said the director doesn’t recommend that material for first surgeries and that costal cartilage is used for revisions. I see posts about revisions here from time to time. I went there years ago because of word of mouth saying a acquaintance of an acquaintance had good results there, but I’m currently debating because of the CCTV issue. The amount I wrote down was the discounted price they told me after posting before-and-after face photos on the clinic website or in their brochure
