I had surgery 2 years ago and got Mentor Smooth. Back then, there was talk that one company's product had carcinogenic substances, and Mentor put out a cheaper second-generation Smooth, but I can't remember the implant name... Anyway, the implant is very hard. The surgery itself went well, so I have had no side effects and have been doing fine, but my axillary scar is still red and one side has darkened. They said they would do revision surgery for the scar, but I left it alone because I thought it would probably be the same even after a revision. It will disappear someday, I guess... I think the hospital's skill is okay.
