Eye Surgery review at Aikon (아이콘) · Eye revision surgery + Ptosis correction · 2022-09-20

A long time ago, I only had buried double-eyelid surgery at Icon Plastic Surgery~ The surgery went so well that a lot of people around me went there too. Recently, maybe because it had been so long, one day it suddenly opened up and ended up with two or three folds, so I had revision surgery about 3 months ago. In my memory, the cost was on the cheaper side, the surgery went well, and there wasn’t really anything to complain about, but since it had been a long time since I last went, I looked up reviews and prices on apps like Babitalk and Gangnam Unnie before going. After applying for the event, since I had prior experience, I made a reservation by phone for surgery on the consultation day. The day before I went, I saw comments in the Babitalk reviews saying the consultation manager was a psychopath.. and that they were rude, but since time was running out and I just wanted the surgery to go well, I went anyway. Just as I had heard, they were really rude I don’t have ptosis, and I don’t even open my eyes using my forehead. Before going, all the people around me said eye correction is often recommended, but that I absolutely shouldn’t do it and didn’t need it. It’s good to have more strength in the eyes, but that also changes the eye shape, right? At first they recommended revision surgery and a brow lift. But the more I listened, the more absurd it sounded, so I said I’d think about it next time. I’m in my late 20s, and my forehead isn’t extremely narrow or particularly flat. But while pointing out all sorts of things about my face and telling me to listen to the expert, saying it’s not only for older people, they kept talking for a long time, and then they even said they’d give a discount if I showed my whole face publicly. When I firmly said I wasn’t going to do it, they suddenly told me I should get eye correction. When I said I wouldn’t do either, they made it very obvious they were annoyed, tossed the pen in their hand onto the desk, and said if I didn’t want to do it, then don’t. After that I got a brief explanation from the doctor and had the surgery. In the end, the double-eyelid surgery seems to have gone well, but I really regret the eye correction. I did it because they said it would change my eye shape a lot and make it softer, but it still looks fierce and actually became even more intense. The original looked better, and it has been 3 months but I still feel a lot of discomfort, and after surgery I keep getting eye discharge. At first, for a month, I was in so much pain that I thought I might go blind and called them, but they said that was normal. I used to love the fact that I only had double-eyelid surgery for 500,000 won, and I told everyone about this place, but now I don’t think I’ll go back..? For reference, my friend’s acquaintance said the manager was so rude that they went straight to another hospital~ This isn’t meant to slander them. The double-eyelid line really is natural and not bad. But they push extra surgeries too aggressively, and most of the consultation is basically done with the manager, which I don’t like~
