It's been over 4 months since my arm procedure. During the consultation, I felt trust because they were confident that scars could be minimized, emphasized safety very strongly over effectiveness, showed the surgical plan in detail with ultrasound, and discussed it with the patient. So I canceled my consultation at another clinic and made the surgery appointment for the very next day. I decided because I thought at the very least I wouldn't die, and I wouldn't end up crying over sunken flesh or muscle dents. The results were much better than I expected, so it was a satisfying surgery that seems to have delivered both safety and effectiveness. These days I forget I even had surgery, and in summer I don't wear anything except sleeveless tops. Even in winter I stubbornly wear sleeveless turtleneck knits. I paid the money and suffered, so I have to show this flesh off! The director was kind, thorough in explanation and consultation, and confident, which was nice of course, but because the whole clinic atmosphere meant that as a woman I would have to show my body to the medical staff, there could easily have been some discomfort or mental burden, and I could feel that they compensated for that by giving patients a sense of stability overall. The ultrasound room lighting, the lighting and atmosphere inside the clinic, and the room layout were all arranged so patients wouldn't feel anxious, and I thought it was a very patient-centered, considerate clinic. The kindness of the operating-room staff and the treatment manager made it a clinic whose good consultation memory kept coming back to me even after surgery. The results are obviously awesome. To be honest, there were times I wondered if it would have been better to make my arms a bit more skeletal-looking... but when I look at the smooth flesh with no sagging, no muscle dents, and no scars, I don't have any complaints about choosing the safety-first approach.
