Had my third nose revision in the summer of 2025 at [Clinic A]. Before the revision at [Clinic A], the hospital where I had my second surgery had really messed up my nose. During surgery, even the sedation anesthesia wore off twice, which was shocking enough that I was crying out in pain. It felt like I had entrusted my nose to someone with no aesthetic sense at all. I was also extremely unhappy with the shape. (No necrosis or contracture, though.) For this third surgery, my conditions were: first, it had to look pretty; second, the thick scar tissue inside my nose from the second surgery had formed a big lump and kept showing up inside my nostrils like boogers, and that had to be removed; third, even though it would use autologous costal cartilage, I wanted sedation anesthesia. There are not that many reviews and I had heard the head doctor was not especially friendly in consultation, but there are not many places that can do autologous costal cartilage under sedation, so I went in for a consultation. I had already done enough nose surgery to know what was what, so I mainly asked how large the autologous cartilage scar would be, how inconvenient it would be for driving, how much it would hurt, and whether sedation would really be safe. The consultation was very short, but the doctor seemed confident, so I decided to trust him. After getting my nose wrecked by a doctor who would talk at length during consultation, I thought again that skill is action, not words. So I had the surgery, and the autologous costal cartilage was surprisingly not painful at all, so I drove to the hospital the very next day to get it disinfected. Everyone said it would hurt like crazy / feel like getting shot, and from that point on I felt I had made the right choice of hospital. That said, the nose itself was pretty tough, and this third surgery was the most painful and swollen. There were no bruises, but since I had undergone revision surgery several times, I could feel that my nose was having a hard time. After the packing was removed on day 2, it became manageable, and after a week the swelling started going down rapidly. Even after surgery, they were not especially kind or overly attentive. It was just a normal hospital. But I actually liked that, because it felt systematic, with everyone handling their own part properly. I also liked that there were no foreigners. It was not a line for consultation but for stitch removal, and everyone sitting there with nose tape on was Korean, which I liked seeing. As a result, even now, 6 months later, everyone, even my family who hates plastic surgery, keeps saying I did such a good job and that my nose is so pretty. Since this was a re-revision, the inside of my nostrils got quite raw, and I do have a fair amount of rhinitis, but aesthetically I am very satisfied.
