Patient review of Bomnal (봄날) · 2020-10-30

I went in for a consultation because I thought autologous dermis would be good for me, not because autologous dermis itself is inherently good, but because I thought it would be good for my skin. But on the day of the consultation, they asked whether the appointment time could be changed. I said okay. Then they asked again if it could be changed. Luckily I was nearby, so I just said okay again. Anyway, when I arrived, they suddenly told me to go into a room to check the buttock dermis. Once I went in, the absurd thing was that the CCTV feed was all showing on the computer screen, so I could see another patient's exposed buttocks in another room, and they even told me to lower my butt while leaving the door open; my own butt would be seen by others too; it was ridiculous. When I tried to close the door, they told me to hurry and take off my pants, so I thought they would close the door for me and took them off. They did not close the door lol Then I lay on what looked like an operating table with my butt down, and the doctor came in. While checking the buttock dermis, he said, oh dear, it's thin, wow it's thin. Then he told me to sit up. As I was sitting up and trying to pull my zipper back up, the doctor asked me why I was having surgery with dermis. So I answered. Then he suddenly told me to lie down. I was confused. The staff and doctor raised their voices and urged me to lie down. I was dumbfounded at that moment; if I was that flustered, no wonder I had not been able to pull my zipper up before lying down... When I said I could not pull my zipper up, the doctor said he would cover me with a blanket. The doctor told me to lower my mask. He touched my nose. Then again, oh dear, this is thin too. I was honestly disgusted. After that the doctor left the room. I was pulling up my zipper and feeling totally drained, thinking maybe I should not even do the consultation, when a staff member told me to go into another room. In that room were other people like me, sitting there for consultations. We all watched YouTube together. It was a YouTube video they had sent me a link to watch before coming in, but we watched it again there. The doctor gave some extra explanations, and since I had already seen the video, I was looking things up here and there while listening. Then the doctor paused the video and angrily asked me whether I already knew everything in it lol Seemed pretty proud of it. Anyway, they showed me before-and-after photos of people who had surgery, and also photos of the buttock dermis removal area said to be 4 to 5 years later, showing that it had healed, so I looked over everything very carefully. The doctor also told me what to say if people asked about the marks left after taking out the dermis from there, like saying it was for this reason or that reason lol After that, they said the doctor consultation would be separate and told me to go wait again, but I just left the hospital then and there. Anyway, I think going to this consultation was a good idea. After this visit, I decided I definitely do not want buttock dermis removed.
