After the corner-of-the-mouth surgery, side effects occurred. The ends of my mouth closed in a D shape, and scar tissue moved into the inside of my mouth. Originally I went there only for philtrum reduction, but I was strongly advised to get lateral reduction and corner-of-the-mouth surgery because otherwise I would end up with triangle lips and the proportions would not fit. But after the surgery, it went wrong and the scarring was severe. A few months later, Dr. Jo said he would release the scar tissue at the corner of my mouth, so I had revision surgery again at that hospital, but the result was that my mouth became severely too wide and too long horizontally, with very severe scar tissue. It seems like the problem was with the surgical method itself, and they cut too aggressively at the mouth corners and lifted the ends of the mouth too much, to the point where I could not take off my mask. I had revision surgery at another hospital afterward, but it still did not return to normal.
