I had it done two years ago, and I'm happy with the result. My impression changed into something cuter? It gave me more of a rabbit-like look. I had no philtrum dimple at all so it looked plain, but the doctor recommended doing that too, so I did it and I love it! But I would stop anyone around me from doing it without hesitation, because for one month? two months? I was unemployed, didn't meet anyone, always ate alone, held my upper lip with my hand while eating, and either ate only soup or cut everything with scissors. If you're an ordinary office worker or live with family and talk or laugh a lot, you'll end up with irreversible scars and be in real trouble. I have a thin white scar left so mine is on the lighter side, but right after surgery one stitch seemed a bit open and it was bothersome, and that exact part turned a little whiter and more noticeable, which made me sad.. Back when I had it done, this clinic also posted philtrum reduction videos on YouTube and had a Naver cafe where patients posted reviews, but when there were more posts in the cafe complaining about scars, they shut the cafe down, and somehow the YouTube channel stopped uploading philtrum content too So seriously, only do this if you're confident you can manage it obsessively and you have good healing skin or something like that, and never take it lightly. Also, don't expect the doctor to be as kind as in the YouTube videos. But he did tell me my philtrum is long, pointed out that I have a habit of unconsciously lifting my philtrum, and mentioned the asymmetry, so I think his aesthetic sense is good. It's just that philtrum reduction itself is a risky surgery
