For my first surgery, I used septal cartilage and silicone to tie the tip of the nose, raise the bridge, and correct a bulbous nose, but after just three months I started getting inflammation repeatedly once a month, and after a year the nasal tip had been resorbed, so I had revision surgery. The revision was done with costal cartilage, and it definitely seems like there is less resorption at the tip and no inflammation.
