I had a facial bone consultation with Director Yoon Chang-woon. It is not a two-jaw case, but he recommended the front chin + square jaw + ASO, and when I asked about osteotomy methods, he said they are all the same and there is no point in discussing them. He said a chin lengthening was not necessary, and that we should reduce the width a little and move it forward. If ASO is done, he said 5 to 6 mm of advancement; if not, 8 mm of advancement. For the square jaw, he said to trim it only a little along the secondary angle line, and he advised against cortical bone resection. I also asked about midface volume, but since I am male he advised against adding volume, and said buccal fat removal and liposuction could be considered after 3 months. Because of the protruding mouth, the philtrum looks long. The scar tissue is inside the mouth, so it is not something to worry about too much. The consultation content was so different from other hospitals that I am still thinking about the surgery. The consultation manager was very nice.
