I went for a consultation a while ago, but normally a doctor should first understand the patient's needs to some extent and then counsel accordingly, especially since this is cosmetic surgery, not surgery to treat pain. The doctor only kept pushing their own opinion, and when I said that was not the direction I wanted, they got very heated on their own,, The staff member was not especially kind either, but the doctor recommended a surgery that felt excessive to me, so my trust in the hospital dropped a lot. In the end I had surgery elsewhere and the result turned out well. It is true that a doctor only needs to perform the surgery well, but I think some degree of communication with the patient is necessary.
