Review of implant-free rhinoplasty to correct upturned nostrils

I had an upturned-nostril nose, so I was really stressed because my nostrils looked raised when viewed from below. My nostril wings also looked spread out, so I wanted to correct them. I wanted to keep the height the same while making it look naturally refined, so I looked into implant-free rhinoplasty. I went for consultations at two clinics, but the explanations felt a bit lacking. Then I had a consultation at another clinic, and the director made a detailed plan for correcting my upturned nostrils. They said they would do nostril lowering with ear cartilage grafting and skin grafting. They explained that skin would be harvested from behind the ear and grafted into the nose. They also said they would project the nasal tip forward while shaping the columella line at the same time. Since it was implant-free rhinoplasty, the surgery was done without an implant, using donated costal cartilage, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage. They also corrected and reinforced the septum inside the nose. After surgery, my nasal tip felt a bit bigger and longer, but the director said it was because of swelling and that it would settle as the swelling went down, so I waited. The inside of my nose also felt a little bulging, but that gradually subsided too. My columella became slightly straight, and they said that would also stabilize over time. Now the raised-looking nostrils have been corrected, so it looks neat even from below. Since it was implant-free rhinoplasty, it feels natural to the touch and there’s no foreign-body sensation, which I like. What I’m most satisfied with is being free from the stress of my upturned-nostril nose.
