I had surgery about 10 years ago, and because the silicone and nasal tip cartilage were showing through, I had revision surgery. At Clinic A, they removed the silicone + trimmed the nasal tip cartilage and raised it again. One year later, a depression (sunken area) developed on the nasal bridge, the nasal tip became pointy, and the cartilage started showing through again just like before. My nose has become a total mess, right??.. It’s my fault for just getting revision surgery without properly looking into it.
The original Clinic A said they would provide A/S. The surgical method is similar. They said they would trim and raise the cartilage placed on the nasal tip again and place MegaDerm underneath. -> I feel like this will show through again because the height stays the same.
I started visiting clinics said to be famous. In the end, I narrowed it down to two!!!!!!! What I want now is naturalness...
Clinic B (ㅁㅇ Plastic Surgery) 1. Revision cost: over 5 million KRW 2. Surgical method - Remove the cartilage placed on the nasal tip - Add ear cartilage on both sides of the septal support to make the nasal tip look round. - Unilateral osteotomy for the deviated nose. They said they would fill the width on the opposite side with ear cartilage to balance it. - Fill the nasal bridge depression with ear cartilage 3. Concerns - High cost - They said there is no A/S for cosmetic dissatisfaction - I’m worried that after osteotomy, the nasal bridge bone may look thin.
Clinic C (ㅇㅇㅇㅋ Plastic Surgery) 1. Revision cost: low-to-mid 4 million KRW range 2. Surgical method - Remove the cartilage placed on the nasal tip - Replace the septal support with an ear cartilage support - Lower the nasal tip height - For the sunken nasal bridge, lower the height of the nasal bridge area so there is no step-off (not filling it) - Since my nostrils show a lot, lower the nostril rims and raise the drooping columella 3. Concerns - Since it’s an ear cartilage support, I’m scared it may lower over time. - I feel like my nose overall will become much lower. I’m worried it might go beyond looking natural and become unattractive. - After lowering the nostril rims + raising the columella, won’t my nose look long?
What would everyone do? After unnecessarily touching my nose once, the money and time and everything have been so, so exhausting. With the desperate hope that this will please be my last surgery, I’m uploading photos..!
