I had an ear cartilage support strut for the nasal tip + one layer of ear cartilage cap graft + postauricular dermis, whether it was used to fill a step-off or wrapped around the tip so it wouldn’t show through, anyway it was used, and I also had external alar reduction! But even taking the early post-op period into account, my nasal tip looks like it’s been pulled straight forward, and because of that, my alar width has also become much narrower than expected. Overall, it doesn’t harmonize with my face, so once I reach 6 months, I’m planning to request an AS revision to remove the ear cartilage cap graft and dermis + lower the support strut to the level of my original nose. If I do this, even if it doesn’t become as wide as my original nose, it should widen back to some extent, right? If anyone here has had total removal or partial removal, and also had alar reduction, it would really help!! And this is something I’ll ask the clinic later, but I’d appreciate opinions on whether the AS revision I’m requesting seems possible with a closed approach!
