I’m on day 27 after jaw and cheekbone surgery. I had non-incisional cheekbone surgery. I only had the 45-degree cheekbones and side cheekbones done. The surgery was done through a preauricular incision, and new skin has grown over the stitched area, leaving a round (donut-shaped) scar. The border is dark brown, and the inside is white.... The doctor says it will disappear, but the scar is fairly deep and the color is dark... I’m worried. I’m someone who barely has sideburns to begin with. I wanted to tie my hair up neatly and coolly, but instead I’m wearing it like curtains. Can scars be removed at a dermatology clinic or plastic surgery clinic... Is there anyone who has the same concern as me???? They say that after a few months, scar marks almost disappear. Should I trust that and wait, or should I go to a dermatology clinic and at least get a consultation... If anyone has experience, please leave a reply.
