I finally did it!. Honestly, I did think about it quite a bit, but as I entered my early 40s, wrinkles and pores started getting worse. Every so often I’d catch myself looking in the mirror and notice the glabella lines, forehead lines, and even nasolabial folds... and I kept thinking I should do something. At first I also considered fillers and laser, but they seemed too stimulating... so I decided on skin botox because I heard it looks natural and the recovery is fast. But honestly, the hardest part was the procedure itself They applied numbing cream, and I thought maybe they’d spread it on a bit thin? The doctor personally did the treatment with Xeomin, one tiny injection at a time. It was meticulous work. The treatment itself was faster than I expected, and it was over in about 5 minutes. B.u.t. saying 5 minutes is one thing, but for me it felt like an eternity I thought I was going to get Rejuran Healer three times in a row!!! It honestly hurt way more than I expected, okay? My older sister who went with me... traitor... I didn’t know it was that painful because she just silently shed tears It wasn’t just a little sting, it was like stiiiiing, stiiiiing? Maybe the numbing cream didn’t work very well. When they moved from the left side to the right, I almost grabbed the doctor’s hand..... Later, someone else who had gotten it told me you need to apply the numbing cream a bit thick and stay with it for more than 30 minutes. I should have asked more before going.... Then it would have been better, they said. Next time I do it again, I definitely need to do it that way. Hahaha next time!? They put a cool pack on me and it was heaven. For 24 hours, no hot compresses or exercise, avoid saunas and steam rooms for a week, and sunscreen every single day. They made it so painful that I really did my best with aftercare (mask packs), and because of that I was pretty anxious when there wasn’t much change for the first 2 weeks. But from week 3, it definitely changed. My skin tone got about one shade brighter, and especially the lines between my eyebrows were reduced a lot. My forehead got much smoother too, and overall my skin looks more elastic. People around me also asked, saying, “You look different somehow?” I took photos when I was traveling in Europe two weeks ago and they came out really well, so I’m in a good mood haha They said the effect lasts 3 to 4 months, but hmm... not sure about that!!! They say you have to keep repeating it for this amount of effect... well, I don’t know if I’d do it again. It hurt way too much!!! I don’t regret it, but I’m thinking about trying again with 5 mm of numbing cream for 30 minutes next time. But not here!!! The male doctor is kind and a bit handsome and young, but... I won’t do it here
