Surgery review - Day 1

lol A lot of you have probably seen my photos in the photo room, right?? I finally had surgery~ 10 a.m.. I was the first slot. At first, I changed into surgical clothes, took photos, and they drew on my nose with a name pen. (What I emphasized again and again to the doctor was that I hate So Yi-hyun's nose and absolutely, absolutely did not want that kind of nose!! I emphasized it so much.; lol) I lay on the operating table, they trimmed my nose hair, disinfected my face, and put in an IV. After a little while the doctor came in. And then I fell asleep lolol When I woke up, it seemed like the surgery had progressed quite a lot.. but to me it felt like only about 10 minutes had passed. When I blinked my eyes.. the doctor said exactly this: "Should I make it 4 mm for you?" He said that.. I was originally scheduled for 3 mm, but my glabella is so low.. And because my glabella is low, my forehead looked relatively more protruded. The pre-op photos are in the photo room lol Even while waking up from that sleep anesthesia, I said to the doctor.. lol "Doctor~ I don't like the glabella being too high.. Please make it natural like Jun Ji-hyun and people like that~" Then the doctor smiled and said.. Jun Ji-hyun... natural, yes. Then let's do it that way.. That's what he said (it was already raised 3 mm.. I think the doctor thought adding about 1 mm more would be okay and was going to add it haha) Then I was awake with my eyes closed.. The doctor said this to the nurse: "Nurse. This patient wants it like So Yi-hyun's nose." Gasp!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so shocked I opened my eyes slightly; (the light above the operating table was so bright lolol I couldn't open them wide) I kept rolling my eyes and sending him a look saying I didn't want that, and it seemed like he was laughing. (The doctor too, really.. -_- making that kind of joke in that situation;; I was totally shocked -_-) Then.. it seemed like he was touching the nasal tip.. and I could feel it In the last five minutes or so, it felt like the anesthesia was wearing off.. I could feel something sharp touching my nose and the feeling of thread being pulled, all of it, sob sob. When I said it hurt.. he said the anesthesia was gradually wearing off and the surgery would be over in about 3 minutes haha So I held it in tightly (actually, it was a tolerable amount of pain lol) Then after a bit, the doctor said I had done well lol Ah~ so it's over now.. I said thank you.. haha The nurse unwrapped all the protective stuff that had been put on my head~ and gave me antibiotics (painful;) They told me to follow them.. then gave me a hot/cold pack in the recovery room and told me to do compresses for 30 minutes haha I did that and came back~~ The total surgery time was.. two and a half hours.. >.< pretty long, right?? I had the nasal bridge raised 3 mm.. the nasal tip tied, and ear cartilage was used.. The doctor said.. doing only the nasal bridge takes one hour.. and if doing the nasal tip too, it takes about another hour to an hour and a half.. haha Mine took exactly two and a half hours.. Hehe~ haha Right now there's tape on, so I can't see anything, so I'm curious.. But originally, do you swell a lot on the first day? My swelling is really.....not there;; Does it usually swell tomorrow? I think I'm the type who swells a lot.. but I'm swelling much less than expected, almost strangely so haha Anyway.. next Tuesday I have dressing? done.. Before going to work, I'll get the stitches removed.. haha And then I'll upload photos. If you have questions, please tell me.. I'll let you know as much as I know. I received help from so many people in this community, so I'll also help sincerely ^-^ Anyway, it doesn't hurt as much as I thought hehe.. They say it hurts later when removing the cotton packing and when removing stitches haha Anyway.. if you have questions, ask me~^^
