It’s been about 10 days since I had surgery. It feels like just yesterday that I was shocked out of my mind when I first took off the bandage and saw myself in the mirror, but now, if I cover myself with my hair, the reflection in the mirror looks somewhat human. It’s still round from swelling, but I’m getting through each day with the hope that it will look a little better once the swelling goes down. Because I haven’t been able to eat properly, I’ve already lost 5 kg. It’s painful because there are so many things I want to eat. Sometimes I get something like spasms in my cheeks and feel hard areas; I’m curious whether it’s because blood isn’t circulating, or because of a surgical side effect. If anyone with prior experience has gone through this, please let me know. Let’s become prettier!
