I had it done yesterday, and it was really so hard. When I read other people's reviews, they said it didn't hurt, so I thought that was true. But wow.. I truly understood the phrase, the pain of shaving bone. It hurt so much. And with the X-shaped bandage method, my eyes were covered for five hours, and I thought I was going to die. I had general anesthesia on an empty stomach, so the nausea and dizziness.. every time I breathed, the smell of anesthetic, lying completely still and straight for hours while unable to move, my head was throbbing.. I can't sleep lying straight on my back. I could barely drink water only last night, and around 10 today they gave me porridge. At night I kept sleeping fitfully, waking every 30 minutes and alternating between sleeping lying down and sleeping sitting up. I regretted it so much.. I even cried. I didn't know it would be this hard. I was discharged today and came home, and I would have no other wish if only this darn blood drain and bandage could be removed. It's stuffy, I can't eat well, and because the bandage presses on my neck, I can't sleep lying down. I feel like I can't breathe. Anyway, I don't think this is something just anyone should do. I decided never to have surgery again. The state I look in.. my lips are swollen up, and I look like a complete monster. Even I can't stand looking at myself. Also, why does my throat hurt so much? Like I have a severe throat cold, I have phlegm in my throat, and it's so swollen and painful. Like my tonsils are swollen. Because of the bandage, the back of my neck is stiff too, and overall my face, head, and entire neck feel so heavy and painful. I'm miserable. I'm just waiting to go get the blood drain removed tomorrow. I still have no energy.
