I had surgery last Saturday. My original nose was a long nose with a slight hump, so they performed quite a major surgery, fracturing the nasal bridge and reshaping the nasal tip using my own cartilage, something like septal cartilage -.-; And they said they would do autologous fat grafting to refine the shape too (they also took fat from my abdomen). I spent a full week feeling stuffy with the cast on, and finally had it removed today along with the stitches. I had high expectations... First, the shape of the nasal bridge has been refined well. It was good that the protruding hump was gone and my side profile improved, but the problem is that the nasal tip looks much blunter and wider than before. Before, even though my nose was a bit long, the tip was pointed and slim. It’s good that the length of my nose got shorter, but now that the tip has become blunt like a bulbous nose, there’s no sharp look at all. The doctor next to me said it came out well, but I couldn’t say anything If I followed my heart, I’d want to grab and stretch the nasal tip with my hand, but I don’t think I should touch it... They said they’ll do another fat grafting to my nose in about 2 months, so I wonder if putting some fat in the nasal tip then would make it better... It’s funny how fickle people’s minds are. Back when my nose was long, I hated that so much, but now that the tip is too wide and blunt, this is also... I’m trying to hope that as time passes, the tip may become a bit slimmer. For those who had nose surgery, if anyone had a case like mine but became slim and pretty, please let me know what you did.
