It is day 5 now - I went to the hospital today and had the compression band released. Wow - I was so surprised.. My cheeks looked like children’s cheeks, as if I had 2 candies stuffed in each side- I got choked up.. The square jaw is gone, but the front cheeks (next to the lips) are so swollen and tight.. The fan lady would ask me to be friends.. I’ll only know after watching the progress more from here- For now, I’m scheduled to have the stitches removed in 2 weeks (they said they naturally dissolve in 3 months, but they remove them before then) The stitches from the incision under my chin (short one) were removed today. Just taking off the compression band made me feel like I could fly - but when I look in the mirror,, I get depressed- To think I have to live like this for months. (Until the swelling goes down more) The director said this is not even very swollen -_-;; I also worry I might live like this forever (surely not;;) For now I’ll have to cover my face thoroughly with my hair. Still, compared with before, I think I’ll hear that I gained weight.. Everyone swollen from surgery- Let’s stay strong.. For the day the swelling goes down and we become slim-faced!
