It’s been 10 years since I had surgery with silicone and septal cartilage. I went for consultations today, and all the clinics said the silicone goes all the way to the nasal tip. I don’t know how much septal cartilage was used for support, and I don’t know if it’s because of the silicone in the nasal tip, but my nasal tip has dropped a lot and sagged. It looks like the septal cartilage that was raised has sagged and lowered a lot. They said these days silicone usually isn’t used all the way to the nasal tip, but one place said complete removal is possible, and that because only a small amount of septal cartilage was used, if only the silicone is removed, it would be similar to my original nose and there would be no risk of the nose collapsing.
