After my first surgery, I did get nasal congestion, but when my immunity dropped, the congestion got worse and I also developed foreign-body discomfort and pain, so I had it removed. It had been 7-8 years since the first surgery, and when I went in for consultation for full removal, I skipped places that wanted to put something else in. As everyone probably does, I searched this community like crazy, then narrowed it down and got consultations and made my decision. A place can be a good hospital for someone else, but there can be a different hospital that suits me better, so I think it’s better to go to every consultation. Anyway, I had it removed and even took off the splint. It’s my natural nose for the first time in 8 years, hmm…
