I had my third nose surgery in October, using silicone and autologous costal cartilage. A little under a month later, I developed inflammation, and while doing irrigation, the silicone was removed. Even after that, it didn’t settle down, so eventually the autologous costal cartilage was removed too. After that, they said the wound had opened up, so it was sutured one more time. But it still hasn’t healed well, and even now a little blood still comes out enough to stain a cotton swab. Right now there is nothing inside, and I feel like contracture is progressing. I had been taking antibiotics prescribed by the hospital for over 2 months, and now I’m taking what they say is Rizaben, a medication for contracture. It doesn’t seem very effective.
