I had the stitches removed, and even after that, the columellar scar and the step-off in the columella weren't visible. I guess it really was improved during surgery. But the part where the nasal wall had become necrotic and sunken before hasn't come back, so keep that in mind even if you get revision surgery. And my surgery went better than I expected, though I still have swelling. I think I can finally be done now. It's such a relief. I held onto the doctor and told them I was really grateful. I think about 80% of the complications from my first surgery that I was worried about have been corrected, and the remaining 20% will have to be seen after the swelling goes down, so I think it's hard to say anything too soon.
