In 2009, I had surgery using silicone and septal cartilage, with an osteotomy of the right nasal bone, and because the swelling did not go down for a long time, about 6 months later at the same hospital I changed only the silicone to Gore-Tex. Not long after the surgery, I would occasionally have stinging and aching next to the right side of the nasal bridge, stiffness, and a tingling feeling at the nasal tip, but the doctor said it was because of scar tissue and that it was nothing serious, and I thought that since I had surgery, everyone probably has about this much pain, so I lived with it.
