It’s been two months since surgery, and from the one-month mark, inflammation started coming up inside my nose around the donated costal cartilage area. I’d have pain and swelling, then after a day or two of antibiotic treatment it would calm down, and this has repeated two or three times now. According to the director, it is inflammation, but it isn’t extremely severe, so it would be a waste to open everything up and remove it, and they want to try antibiotic treatment a little longer. But from my perspective, I feel like I’m really going to lose my mind. It feels like I’m being given false hope I’m worried that if this inflammation keeps repeating, a bigger inflammation might come later, and I’m also scared of antibiotic resistance because I’ve been repeatedly taking and stopping antibiotics for a month…
