I had my first surgery in December 2020, and removed the silicone in February 2025. Currently, only the nasal tip tying and septal cartilage remain. The doctor in charge said they don’t remove the capsule if there’s no inflammation or issue, so I worried for a long time that if it stayed, it might cause problems later. But now I’m just living with the thought that I’ll deal with it when that time comes. My original pre-surgery nose had a hump and a rounded nasal tip. So the form was that they shaved down the nasal dorsum, tied the nasal tip, placed cartilage, and raised it slightly with silicone.
